Palm Springs area home sales on the RISE!
Realtors across the Coachella Valley capped off 2011 with an 11.5 percent year-over-year increase in home sales during December, even as sales tumbled in much of the inland region.
Sales of new homes have improved enough in recent months to spark a renewed sense of optimism among some home-builders.
Toll Brothers re-entered the Coachella Valley market in mid-January with its Toll Brothers at Alta development at 3200 S. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs.
Inventories of quality distressed properties have fallen off considerably in some cities, so much so that decent foreclosed properties and short sales that are priced well often sell quickly and garner multiple offers, said Leslie Appleton- Young, chief economist with the California Association of Realtors.
Incredibly low mortgage rates suggests 2012 might offer ‘rock-bottom’ pricing that many buyers and sellers have been waiting for.
There is a palatable change in the air in the entire Coachella Valley, and in particular Palm Springs, that is substantiated by the sales volume we are seeing.
