But it&#8217;s significant for Virgin America as it&#8217;s only the second route for the airline that doesn&#8217;t involve its main bases of San Francisco and Los Angeles. New York JFK-Las Vegas is the other.</p>
<p>&#8220;Since entering these Palm Springs markets, we&#8217;ve seen strong demand for our unique flight service,&#8221; says John MacLeod, senior vice president of Planning and Sales at Virgin America.   &#8221;We&#8217;re pleased to be expanding in the market and offering a new nonstop option for travelers coming from New York to the desert this winter.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Virgin America&#8217;s upscale flight service is a perfect match for travelers visiting our region, and we&#8217;re pleased to see the airline spread its wings and expand here,&#8221; Palm Springs&#8217; Mayor, Steve Pougnet,  said. &#8221;The new JFK service will be the only nonstop flight to the Northeast from PSP. Virgin America&#8217;s decision to grow its presence here is a testament to the appeal of our region as a global destination and the strength of our local tourism economy.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to Virgin America&#8217;s website, Flight 55 will depart JFK at 10:55am and arrive PSP at 2:00pm.  The return, Flight 56, departs PSP at 2:55pm and arrives JFK at 10:45pm.</p>
<p>During season, airlines add many non-stop flights into PSP.  Prior to Virgin America&#8217;s announcement, the furthest non-stop east was Chicago O&#8217;Hare via American or United and a non-stop to Toronto on West Jet.</p>
<p>As a Realtor in the Coachella Valley, I&#8217;m thrilled to have this new service to the Big Apple.  It gives so many more people the option to have a winter get-away in the gorgeous desert!</p>

<p>The housing market in the Palm Springs and Coachella Valley areas is strongly rebounding.  At this time, there are 396 residential units actively for sale in Palm Springs (between the price points of $49,000 and $2,400,000) and there are 335 residential units in escrow.  For the first time in years, the numbers indicate a &#8220;normal&#8221; marketplace.</p>
<p>According to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI), September marks the highest level for builder confidence for newly built, single-family homes since June of 2006. This is yet another signal pointing to a stronger housing market!</p>
<p>The Housing Market Index (HMI) has been slowly inching upward over the last few months and actually rose three more points in September, resulting in consecutive gains over the last five months, and an HMI of 40.</p>
<p>According to the builders surveyed (based on 445 respondents), buyer confidence, current sales conditions, prospective sales prospects, and prospective buyers all saw an increase this month, indicating that buyers are interested in looking at new homes throughout the United States.  A nine point increase was noted in the Northeast, while the Midwest and South each illustrated a four point gain.  A five point gain was seen in the West.</p>

It takes time to determine not only what you want and where you want it (ie: Palm Springs or other desert cities), but also what you can afford.</p>
<p>After those two tasks are nailed down, time, research and organizational know-how are required to ensure a stress-free and seamless transaction for both home buyers and sellers.  As an experience and knowledgeable Realtor in Palm Springs, I know the local market, the hot areas and who to engage for all your transaction services (home inspections, escrow, title, etc.)</p>
<p>I know it’s hard to believe, but as a real estate agent, I don’t just sit around eating bon-bons, sorting paint chips, and watching television. In fact, I am certain I&#8217;ve  seen less Olympic events than you this summer! Even in the summer desert heat, I&#8217;m still working full time!  I work hard to ensure my sellers find the right buyers and that my buyers find the right property.  You can easily compare me to Michael Phelps&#8212;we both have been doing this for YEARS and we both are constantly winning awards.</p>
<p><strong>I Train Every Day -</strong> I am constantly on the MLS numerous times each day, to find the best properties.  I am a snap at  technology to make sure I keep up my edge and I am aware whenever a new listing comes on the market fitting your criteria.  . It’s my job to know the Palm Springs area. I have a daily commitment to excellence!</p>
<p><strong>I Start with The End in Mind -</strong>  I love to win and while I may not get a medal to hang around my neck, I take great pride in knowing that I accomplished something profound when I hand you keys to your new home (or the proceeds from your sale).  Seeing a happy new home owner or satisfied home seller makes my day!  Bottom line, my entire job revolves around convey a title to a property.</p>

<p>For many years, the people of Palm Springs and Palm Desert (and the rest of the Coachella Valley) have all wondered why we didn&#8217;t have a Whole Foods.  The three top &#8220;high-end&#8221; grocers here are Bristol Farms, Jensen&#8217;s and Trader Joes.  In my humble opinion, none of them compare to the quality, freshness and diversity of the Whole Foods product!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m thrilled to have a Whole Foods near Palm Springs.  For one, their chicken Sonoma salad is the ultimate.</p>
